Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rajshahi, is an autonomous body and operates under the supervision of Ministry of Education of GOB. The Chairman is the Chief Executive & academic Officer of the Board. The Chairman together with eleven members of diverse representation comprise the Board committee subject to the approval of the ministry for a term of 3 (Three) years. The Board committee is the apex body within the context of the ordinance. It is responsible for formulation of policy matters, finance & administration. There are several other subsidiary committees, formed according to the terms and conditions of the ordinance::

(4) Finance Committee,
(5) Selection Committee,
(6) Regulation Committee,
(7) Appeal and Arbitration committee,
(8) Name and Age Correction Committee
